So I do believe it's time for me to blog again. And I really should do this more often.

11.15: Lincoln Band Review, Stockton, CA
I drove myself, so I left at about 6:45. I was super hungry, and decided to drive by Taco Bell, but it was closed. I then decided to stop in Livermore to go to Taco Bell since I know where it is, but it was also closed. McDonald's was open, but they wouldn't sell me fries cause it was too early. Weird thing: A lot of white people work at McDonald's in Livermore. Anyways, I got a hash brown instead. I go out to my car and start driving and eating my hash brown. At a turn, I put down my hash brown on the seat. Once I get on the freeway, I look for my hash brown again, but it's effing GONE! I was so pissed. I just wanted my damn hash brown. So I was driving through the Altamont Pass and whining "I want my hash brown!!!"
When I got to Stockton, I was definitely ahead of the buses, so I thought I should go find the Empire Theater so I wouldn't get lost at night. So I'm driving down Harding Street, and all of a sudden it ends, without me having turned onto Pacific Ave. I'm like WTF? I turn around, and it turns out where Madison Ave went right, Pacific Ave went left, and I didn't see the other sign. Grr.
Stockton's really pretty in some places. Lots of trees. I would see the morning sun filtering through the trees and slight fog, and think about how fucking beautiful it was.
Finally, it was time to get to Lincoln High. I drove to Ben Holt Drive, and realized that there was a BAND REVIEW that day and there was a roadblock before my turn. So I had to find my way through streets I didn't know to get to Alexandria Place. And somehow, I did. It was strange. I parked and called Aubrie to see if the buses were ther yet. Which they were. So I walked down the street and saw three FUSD buses. Thinking it was IHS, I waved and stuff. I followed the buses till they parked, which was when I saw a sign saying "Mission San Jose." I was so embarrassed, I was waving to our rivals. GRR.
Blah blah blah, band review. I thought we did pretty well.
    My last band review. :(
Later, Aubrie, Alice, and I (the triple A batteries!)... and Sasha were sitting where we were last year... when Maria comes running and saying she has a funny story. We first ask where Hannah is, and Maria says she's getting to that. Turns out Hannah got hit by some assholes driving a trailer. No joke, though we totally thought Maria was kidding. We sat at the info booth with Hannah till she got picked up. Then the awards ceremony. Mission fucking placed, and we didn't. Whole season of us not placing. I want to murder something.
After the buses left, I had about three hours to kill, so I drove up towards Sacramento, but then got bored and drove back to Stockton. Gas is $1.99 there! I was despairing of what to do when I found a Rasputin Music! It was amazing, but I didn't find anything I wanted. Good thing though, cause I had no extra money. I then went to the mall, which Alice said sucked. It was pretty lame, but pretty. After, I decided I might as well go to the theater.
I parked next to Hazel and Vine's van! :) I felt safe parking there, lol.
Hella people there, and so few knew HAV. I felt special. I said hi to  Gary and Andrew when I first came in, but Kyle didn't notice me. Then I saw Davis by their merch stand. When he saw me, he came out from behind the merch tables to give me a hug :) I missed his hugs. We talked a little... he apparently loved my drawing of him and even had it as his display picture on myspace. When he went back backstage, I went to sit... the seats at the theater are sooooooo comfy! I was gonna sit there the whole time, but when HAV started playing, I couldn't help myself and went down to the floor. They were better than I had EVER seen them. They played 8 or so songs... (I counted on the way home). After, I talked to Kyle for a bit, but people wanted to buy things, so I walked back to the seats. It was around 9, and I realized I should get going. I got Kyle's attention again to say bye... lol he gave me a hug over a table, it was kind of weird. And he offered me Red Bull or water for the ride home so I wouldn't fall asleep. I took the water. I wanted to be able to sleep once I got home. He also said that his voice kept cracking during the show, though I didn't notice. After saying bye to him, I went and found both Davis and Nick. Davis gave me a hug, then disappeared... I asked Nick what he thought of the drawing I did, since he WASN'T THERE at the Lodi show. He liked it, it's on his myspace somewhere. He also explained why he wasn't at that show... apparently a friend bought $50 Sigur Ros tickets for that day wayyy before the show was scheduled, so he couldn't bail on that. Totally understandable. And odd thing, before I left, he gave me a hug too. Weird, cause I totally though he didn't give fans hugs. Maybe he doesn't and I'm kind of not a fan anymore. I've been to waaaay too many of their shows to be "just a fan."
Oh yeah, I wrote "I <3 you" on the back window of their van... probably should have put "anna <3s you" instead, but whatever.
And I was totally right... I was really depressed after the band review, and almost wanted to just go home without going to the show. But I told myself that even if none of them talked to me, just seeing them play would make me feel better. And it did. I was super happy when they started playing... it was kind of like how I felt when I saw Brand New... and then I was super happy on the drive home too.  :)
    can't wait till December 6th!

btw, slapping yourself when you're falling asleep while driving really does work. but not for long.
